One Week Old

Josephine is now one week old. Sorry I have not posted new pictures every day, but I have been busy studying for tests and watching a beautiful baby girl make funny faces. (Side note: if anyone out there has used blogger and has tips on making the formatting better, any help would be much appreciated.)

Lorelei is getting used to having a little person around, but she has decided that sleeping downstairs makes for a slightly more peaceful night.

We have changed plenty of diapers. Seems that Josephine takes after a couple of her uncles. And yes, I actually change the diapers on occasion, not just watch Browyn.

Pretty in Pink!
The gender-neutral clothes are cool and all, but sometimes a girl wants to look like a girl.

Josephine has braved the cold for a couple of walks, but thanks to her sweet, cozy bear suit, the Seattle Winter is no problem.

And here are some of those funny faces I spend several hours a day watching, and these are not the best. She does a cute thing where she only opens one eye--sort of a cross between Popeye and a pirate--that I have not been able to catch on film yet, but I will, oh yes, I will.

But quite possibly the best part of this week has been when I come home from a (not-so-)long day at class, eat a quick lunch, and then grab a quick nap with the prettiest little girl I have ever seen.

Welcome, Josephine Boggs Coyne!

Alright, after slacking through the entire pregnancy, here is a mega-photo-post.

Here is the last photo of Browyn's first pregnancy taken about 10 minutes before we left for Swedish Ballard Hospital. She is obviously quite thrilled that I took the time to take a picture.

And here is the first picture of Jospehine Boggs Coyne, the prettiest baby girl I have ever seen. (Feel free to argue, but she is.) She was born January 22, 2008 at 5:40 pm weighing in at 7 lb. 5 oz. and 19 in. long with a "normal" (according to the nurse) head circumference of 13.25 in. after 14 hours of labor (one hour of pushing). The nurse actually documented in the chart that it was a beautiful birth; the pediatrician said he had never seen a comment like that in a chart. (Sorry about the run-on sentence and all the parenthetical statements.)

Here is the happy family (except for the dog).

And here is the beautiful baby girl. (See, I was right about her being the prettiest, wasn't I?)

And we are getting ready to head home. So far Josephine sleeps through just about everything . . . except baths. We could show pictures, but she is very upset in them which makes me sad.

And here is the happy family together at home looking forward to all of the exciting changes about to take place in our lives, except maybe Lorelei who is wondering why this head in a blanket is getting so much attention.

Ready for baby

So here are a couple more pictures of Browyn, now at 9 1/2 months pregnant. (And my beard at about 3 months.) Baby should be out any time now, and we are both anxiously waiting.
